Tesla blames sales drop on Houthi attacks and arson in Germany
The company warned in January that sales growth could be “notably lower” in 2024 as it comes a successful 2023 fueled by price cuts.
“Tesla finds opportunity to blame sales drop on something other than shite-quality cars and racist company owner”
The real reason is probably China.
China is Tesla’s biggest market. With all this talk about sanctioning Chinese companies, China is discouraging their people from buying American stuff, like Tesla or Apple. Apple sales in China also tanked: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/apples-iphone-china-shipments-in-february-look-even-worse-than-estimated/ar-BB1kzOLK
It also helps that BYD (Chinese electric car company) is now producing more cars than Tesla.
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/02/byd-produced-more-than-3-million-cars-in-2023-set-to-beat-tesla.htmlThey are also cheaper than Teslas. I think it was ford that dropped the price on their EV and it started selling again. Who knew ppl don’t have premium car money?
Imagining living in a reality where news headlines are this true. 🤣
Every serious car manufacturer has a backup power source in case something happens (there can always be a bad storm or an accident)
The fact that one burning mast was enough to completely shut down the Tesla factory in Germany just shows how much of their success is just ignoring very realistic risks and then pointing fingers at someone else if stuff happens
A company that makes solar panels and backup batteries doesn’t bother to install them at the factory.
“I don’t want to blame it all on 9/11…but it certainly didn’t help.”
Tesla in Q2
They are blaming the production drop on those, and not making a comment about the sales drop.
The prod drop is probably just that, but it’s increasingly clear that Tesla is having difficulty selling the cars they make.
I was fooled by this. I thought this was the onion, but it was real life.
Did the Dolphins made Musk cry?
So, Tesla is blaming a reduction on demand… I’m supply difficulties.
They must have the most considerate customers ever
