No fucking shit, it’s kind of what the right do. Surly no one is surprised by this.

That’s really all they’ve got. They were, bogglingly, unprepared for this possibility and caught totally flat footed. At any rate, Harris doesn’t really have much they can attack. Aggressive DA? Yeah, but… Aren’t they the party that just loooooooves law and order? It’d be kind of a footgun to take that angle. The only things they have left are that she’s a democrat and the things she can’t change about herself.

I think the danger is more related to one of their other tactics: turning the left into useful idiots. I really hope we’re collectively motivated enough to avoid it

There’s always the hypocrisy angle, like when Obama (who had the votes) didn’t codify Roe despite promising to do so, and then Biden likewise promised to do it (but one can argue he didn’t have the votes), so I’m not sure why anyone trusts that the Dems will do so now.

I think it’s particularly unlikely given that Roe-related promises are their cash cow.

There’s also lots to critique economically thanks to rampant inflation and the cost-of-living crisis, which Biden ignored but somehow made half a trillion appear out of thin air for other countries’ wars.

I don’t think those are too viable. If republicans have any sense, they’re going to treat the topic of abortion as radioactive and talk as little about it as possible. If the Dems won’t restore Roe, then what will the republicans do? And Kamala could easily enough distance herself from Economic policy.

          No she can’t.

Hillary couldn’t when it mattered, thanks to Obama’s inaction on the foreclosure crisis. There are simply too many people who’ve been impoverished during Biden’s presidency.

If you want to avoid Trump, avoid the gloom and doom. I said it for Biden, I’ll say it for Harris. The things we say matter. The campaign needs our energy, not our griping.

Yes We Can, Rock the Vote, etc etc etc.

Energy wins elections. Griping does not.

Far-right blogger and Trump ally Laura Loomer made unfounded claims against Harris, accusing her of being “an escort,” among other allegations. Loomer also accused Harris of having an illicit relationship with Willie Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco.

How dumb must you be to libel a prosecutor? If she loses the election, that’s an easy lawsuit to win as these claims could be seen to contribute.

Let the Republicans footgun themselves with all the minority voters they’ve been trying to attract.

Dems don’t understand this isn’t 1990 when it comes to foreign policy.

Republicans don’t understand this isn’t 1990 when it comes to racial discrimination.
