Here’s the ranking sorted from best to worst if you didn’t want to open the article.
- Google Pixel UI
- Samsung One UI
- Color OS (OPPO/OnePlus)
- Nothing OS
- Sony Xperia UI
- Moto My UX/Hello UI
- ASUS Zen UI
- vivo Fun Touch OS
- HONOR Magic OS
- Xiaomi MIUI/HyperOS
- Tecno HiOS
Color OS is better then nothing’s?
According to the article, that’s due to more features and more updates.
NothingOS is really not very good
there’s a lot of inconsistencies with Nothing, you don’t really notice at first but it’s hard to unsee
I realize it said “major Android skins” but really wish there would have been some love shown to LineageOS’s AOSP + Trebuchet.
I disagree with this order. Specifically, I prefer the Sony skin over my current Pixel 7’s skin (which imo while being pretty great overall is missing some basic features that OneUI and SonyUI have had for a long time).
Looking at the article, their only issue with it is that the support is only 4 years, while Google offers 7.
What? Not saying it’s not valid (we all want longer software support!), but wtf does length of software support have to do with rating the UX? They are completely separate things.

Yeah unfortunately their inclusion of that kind of renders the whole list pointless. This was actually just a list of manufacturers ranked by their update policies.
I feel stupider for opening this shitty listicle
Well, I have for 3 years now a PoCo F3 with MIUI, and HyperOS now, and never had an ads or bloatware, in the first hour I got the phone, I just uninstall/disabled some apps and didn’t consent on the “miui” stuff, that’s it.
This very much overlooks just using a different launcher
If we are talking solely about android installs, I consider lineageos or a variant to be the best. simple, customizable, and not bloated.
N10 yaaayyyyy 🤩
