There’s a correlation between states that elect republicans and states that enact legislation that corresponds to republican legislative priorities?
INCONCEIVABLE!
Yeah not sure the poster is going to be able to keep up with logic …
Voter manipulation is a Republican priority??
Inconceivable!!
Incase you know, not all poor people have valid ID so it eliminates them from voting. Therefore manipulating the vote
Now what about the states where Trump won? This graphic is clearly meant to influence the viewer into making a radical conclusion based on incomplete data, whether it is true or not. I can’t tell you whether there actually is a correlation because I’m too lazy to check.
Regardless I do happen to know that Trump won in at least one state where voters are not required to show ID. Which is also incomplete data so again before you draw any conclusions I recommend that you to look at the full picture.
Holy shit, they can’t even just take a win.
No
Oh, we take all 3.
The theme looks like states I’d visit vs states to actively avoid.
I don’t understand why this is a contentious issue. You’re required as an adult to have ID on you when you’re out in public. You have to show ID to buy cigarettes, or beer, or a car, or a gun, why wouldn’t you show ID when you vote? It’s not like it’s hard, since you’ll have it on you already. Granted, mail-in ballots are a way better system anyways, so they shouldn’t even be doing in-person voting, but what’s the argument against IDs?
You’re required as an adult to have ID on you when you’re out in public
That is not accurate.
The argument is that voting is your right, and anything that adds friction is inherently biased. Sometimes, things seem like common sense but are only brought up because it would disproportionately affect certain segments of the population.
Your love for mail in voting is actually an example of making voting more accessible while increasing potential for fraud.
It sure does seem interesting. I really wish ids could be required by federal law.
The brigading here is worse than Reddit…
It was posted to the internet. Were you hoping nobody would see it?
Any post you make on Lemmy is much more likely to show up on the All feeds of people who dislike its message than would happen on Reddit just because of how small Lemmy is. I would be very surprised if this was a concentrated effort.
Yes it is and an overwhelming majority are reddit liberals.
Sharing views on Lemmy that wouldn’t automatically get reddit up votes is guaranteed to bring you ostracization and vitriol here from the reddit liberal instance users; so when you share something controversial, there must be something in the act itself that provides self fulfillment and treat the voting as a badge of honor.
