The sad part is that these don’t really stop bots, captcha solver services have bot accessible APIs which can be used to solve these things for malicious actors, they pay real people pennies to solve them and sell it as a service. Similar to click farms.

Yet they expect us to praise them for it and excuse them treating us like criminals when the criminals have easier access than we do. Fuck that, reCaptcha is useless for its intended purpose, and anyone who says otherwise or excuses its usage is a shill or an idiot. Sometimes I think about paying for a captcha solving service myself to be able to skip them when they get annoying. If they continue to get worse I might do that, and I’d encourage others to do the same if they desire to.

Well what are you supposed to click on, the whole traffic light or just the lights, all the blocks with a cyclist, or just the cycle, or just the blocks that are all cycle ? I’ve tried everything and nothing works.

Its not really intended for that, it for bots that run thousands of clicks a minute to bring the site up in a search algorithm.

I think as a script thwarting method against low effort spam, they are over-engineered to the point of being hostile towards users because they indeed do try and target those types of spammers and bots, and also making the experience miserable for real people with hidden fail-states and shadow-bans and many hidden rules.

First one I guess click on the horses? Second one I’d click the burger. Third one I’d enter 9 because the lions are wearing t shirts.

I suspect the first and last captchas gave the image AI a prompt of 2 random nouns from a list.

It has overpping objects that you look for and tap any instance of. In this case it’s cookie or penguin, with the penguin below being the answer

I hate these in particular. Some of the images are so trippy I don’t even know if they’re cookies or wtf

Hallucinations leaking into captchas? This could be fun.

I get it probably wants the cat cookies but that example is probably AI, right?

I think it’s gotta be. I’m guessing it takes the descriptions of some images, and feeds them into a text to image ai for the example to use?
