Its a good article, but they don’t mention the criteria I look for:

    1. Silent, my bag shouldn’t jingle.
    2. Hold a laptop (a bit of a stretch for a sling, but a messenger bag/sling/laptop bag is my sweet spot).

https://www.helikon-tex.com/en_eur/tb-lbc-nl-laptop-briefcase-nylon.html This is my go to sling bag, use it every day. No metal zippers to jingle. Velcro surface on the inside to put any organizer, water resistant, easy to clean, and very tough. I have the black version. No metal parts, so it doesn’t set off metal detectors. Wide straps so they are comfortable.

Its about the perfect size to be small enough to forget about, but large enough (and expandable), that I can go shopping with it. Funnily, I rarely use it to lug a laptop around, but I like having the option. Mostly I just keep sunglasses, a hat, masks, hand sanitizer, a pen, battery bank… and then throw in whatever else I need for the day.

That’s super interesting! I’ve never considered “my bag shouldn’t jingle” before but it makes a lot of sense.
