Roughly 14 percent of the workforce is cut as part of Disney's companywide cost-cutting measures. The move is the biggest reduction in Pixar's history.

The move, less than reported 20%, was delayed because of production schedules & studio not focusing on direct-to-streaming series but on its films.

If Elon Musk ran Disney, he would have laid off all of Pixar, then tried to rehire them after half of them were hired by DreamWorks.
