In a purely educational fashion I shall review, with citations, the San Francisco Chronicle’s article on the recent rulings of the 9th circuit.

A recent ruling by 9th circuit court of appeals of San Francisco rejected a law that banned natural gas stoves because of an archaic 1970s law that claims government cannot regulate energy consumption in homes. The court was mostly conservative (probably uninformed geriatric judges, I’m no reporter, just showing you how to cite your sources) and they claimed that it was not a “health issue” but an “energy regulation issue” because Berkeley restricted natural gas from being consumed and were therefore regulating the consumption of energy.

Egelko, B. (2024, January 2). 9th Circuit won’t let Berkeley enforce first-in-the-nation natural gas ban. San Francisco Chronicle. https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/berkeley-gas-ban-18585687.php

Ugh ‌ These fucking asswads, I sincerely hope you learned how to cite articles today. Thank you.
