But what is that magic phrase? I’ve never heard of that.
Well I’m from Germany and never heard about this either. Could be a weird regional thing then.
I don’t even know why this is a conversation, because English speakers can also say politely that they’d like people to leave because they are tired lol
Fair enough. I’m from Canada so I’m just posting something I saw that fits the conversation. I’m definitely not going to tell a German what Germans say as if I know better. Perhaps she had a circle of friends who said this and she just thought it was German culture.
I feel this is not more likely to work in german than in english. It’s certainly not a common phrase.
Only problem is my battery usually starts off at 50%…
Lucky…
This isn’t autism per se. It’s introversion.
There are autistic extroverts and nt introverts.
I’m close with the people in my circles whom I let into my home, and they all know I have strong boundaries. So, when I am tired and need sleep, I just let them know straight up, and they don’t take offense to it.
However, I don’t feel the need to rush anyone out the door if they are still having a good time, so I let them know they are welcome to stay, leave whenever they are ready, stay the night, crash on the couch or join me in my bed if they prefer.
Just commenting to say that it is 100% ok to tell your friends you are tired and its time to go. They are your friends and will understand.
Need friends to actually say that to!
Me when I go to a friends place for board games. One round im good, two rounds I want to leave.
this is me, when it takes more than 2 hours driving on the road
