Last summer I had this brilliant idea to escape the heat and visit the moon. Due to complex logistics I had to settle for Estonia which is a day of driving from North-east Poland.
We packed our French marvel of engineering and went on our merry way.
We’re here, our Estonian house was as cute as the rest
We stayed in Parnu, in a small summer house in someone’s backyard.
Chilling
It was first day of school and Parnu is a touristy place so it was kinda deserted. Which is perfect since I’m as friendly and outgoing as an Estonian. We had beach all to ourselves.
Even more chilling
Estonia is not exactly famous for cuisine but there was plenty of great seafood.
Tuna wrap? Actually delicious
Overall, I enjoyed it. Can’t say if moon would be better. Weather was shit but the day was considerably longer which is nice way to extend summer.
I live in southern Germany and spent 4 days in Porto, Portugal.
It was wonderful, what a lovely city hanging on a steep cliff, with beautiful bridges, small alleys and stairs zigzagging all around, picturesque parks, unforgettable views.
And the biggest surprise was the cuisine, I had no idea that it was so rich and varied, with a large choice of finger food similar to tapas, beautiful fish dishes, and naturally the delicious port wine.
I really want to go back for a longer time and take a car to explore the county side, especially the valley of the Ouro with all the vineyards.
Seems great, thanks for the pictures!
Periodically go from Belgium to Salento (Italy) to visit family.
Sun, wind and sea (lu sule, lu mare, lu ientu) look and feel so good in the summer.
The food even more.Salento
I just had a look, that place looks amazing! Do you recommend for a week-trip, or is it too small?
There are the town of Lecce and a few beaches that are worth discovering.
In the summer there will definitely be things to do for a week, as there are many local festivals where one can enjoy local food (many festivals (sagre) are centered around a specific kind of food, like one for octopus, one for horse meat, …) and listen and dance to traditional music (pizzica)
School trip from northern Germany to Salzburg, Austria. It was fun, hiking, rafting, canyoning and a feast, all pretty fun
I was in Lisbon a while back, very nice city. Interesting history (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1755_Lisbon_earthquake), nice architecture, good food (those bacalaos!) and cool vibe overall.
Spain (Malaga) and it sucked. We somehow managed to get the (almost) only week with bad weather of the whole year. The sea was cold, I haven’t seen more than 6 people in there at any given time.
Damn, very unlucky indeed
