      Broadcast TV nonetheless!

According to this broadcast TV consumers were about 20% of the market, pay TV down to about 30%, and the rest of us are streaming.

Thanks for the link with an update. Yeah it’s been on the decline for years - e.g. younger people not only choose streaming to do what they want when and how, but even younger ones forego TV entirely and just watch like YouTube, then Instagram and now TikTok I guess. Plus games, many of which offer stories inside of them, and which unfold in a more interactive manner. Having to sit there for like an hour while it blasts you with predefined content is one model, but there are other ways to be entertained, and especially when those other ways cost far less to even being free.:-)

It’s not clear whether things like TikTok, YouTube and Twitch count as “streaming”

I know that I hardly ever touch cable or broadcast.

            forego TV entirely

Right, I was presuming that they don’t actually - “streaming TV” being like Netflix, Disney+, etc., but kids doing things other than TV, period.

Maybe they are texting and on social media instead:-).
