    I don’t understand how this is “profitable”. Do people really like short content?

    P.S. I know YouTube is not profitable as a company, but it seems to generate enough users to collect valuable data for other Google ventures.

      No, but people will mindlessly scroll them for hours, and that means more interspersed ad views.

      I find Shorts to be quite appealing for specific kinds of material. There was a time when YouTube mandated creators to produce lengthy videos, which often led to unnecessary filler content. However, Shorts eliminate that issue by necessitating creators to be concise and direct.

      Here are a few types of Shorts that I enjoy:

      • Cats and dogs
      • Lawyers reactions
      • Fun facts
      • Skits
