If they did, the blue states would suddenly turn around and call those progressive ideas “far-right propaganda.” There will be no victory for the poor less-than-rich in this country without a major revolution.

Whataboutism? What about what? I’m just a realist who’s lived in this country long enough to know that red vs blue is all just a show for the common folk to keep them divided. If either side actually wanted change, they’d be willing to compromise. Instead, we get constant outrage bait and empty promises.

It’s cute that people still think there are “good guys” in U.S. politics, but it’s that kind of willful ignorance and false hope that keep the rich rich and the poor poor.

One side is clearly worst than the other on every metric possible. So it’s fucking rich to bring the democrats in the conversation for whatever reason on a hypothetical scenario.

So get out of here with your good guy rhetoric. One side is better than the other by a long shot, and you know it.

I would wager my left nut that you vote right wing in elections, because that’s the same bullshit that non-assumed right wing peon is spouting.

This guy thinks both major political parties are equally bad. He must be a right-winger!

I shouldn’t need to point out the absurdity of this statement, but apparently I do: it’s absurd.

Problem is you’re doing it in defense of conservatives.

You can say “democrats are bad” when it’s relevant. Your statement isn’t relevant in any way, and that’s what makes it whataboutism.

But it was relevant. The comment I was replying to was saying “Republicans are bad,” so I just chimed in with “they’re all bad.”

And I’m not defending anyone. Neocons are just as bad as neolibs. My point is that we shouldn’t be so quick to believe proven liars just because they’re saying things we like to hear.

Well your “chiming in” included a strawman, a strawman that suggests liberals and conservatives lie the same way.

They don’t, and the differences between the two are so obvious you’d either have to be arguing disingenuously or you’re an idiot.

You were coming to the defense of conservatives the same way the others of your ilk do. “BuT bOtH sIdEs”.

Hilarious! That’s some quality irony - falsely accusing me of using a strawman by using a strawman yourself. Comedy gold, my friend. Comedy gold.

Also hilarious is the thought that someone having a different opinion from you must be either arguing disingenuously or an idiot. I’m sure you considered that my differing opinion might’ve been shaped by life experiences that differ from yours, but you smartly deduced that such a thing is impossible. Bravo. Your mother must be so proud of you.

No, it’s a defense of conservatives to derail the conversation into a “but both sides lie”. I’m not debating this with you troglodytes.

Edit: oh wait, no this is just one of the alt accounts. Pathetic.

One side is clearly worst than the other on every metric possible.

And the other side consistently compromises with that worse side, time after time, never putting up anything more than a whisper of resistance. As a result, the side of lesser evil is now more evil than the side of greater evil was 50 years ago.
