After the record scratch, I was informed rather politely that it was indeed NOT Goukan, but Goukon.

Can someone explain the joke to me? I think this needs a bit of japanese culture context that I’m not familiar with.

Oh ok. Next time just answer the damn question unless its complicated. “Just Google it” is such an asshole way to answer a simple question.
If anyone else doesn’t know, Goukon: is a group date and Goukan: is rape. Apparently sometimes Goukan happens at Goukon.
My bad, the second half of the sentence was meant as a reference to the joke, but it came off as a bit rude.
