The only silver lining of sorts to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’s hiatus is that this isn’t the first time the series has gone on hiatus. Ever since the Golden Land arc, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has repeatedly gone on hiatus for multiple weeks at a time, even going on break for two months at the start of the Goddess’ Monument arc. In many of those cases, a return date wasn’t announced at the time, so there’s probably no reason to assume this latest hiatus will be any more serious.

It seems to help the series maintain quality.
The time travel arc was boring as hell, and an exception, but it’s clear to me that series which don’t force themselves to adhere to a rigid publishing schedule tend to have more thought put into the narrative and characters.
