The first one didn’t hit for me because I just couldn’t buy that a kid could reach that age with no fundamentally negative experiences until they moved away.

No dead pets or relatives? No bad dreams? No awful doctor experiences? Nothing?

It sounds like Anxiety is going to un-bottle all that and maybe retcon part of the first one. Could be interesting… If I had liked the first one better, I’d probably catch this in the theater, but I can wait for Disney+.
