I’m looking for a google maps replacement as part of my de google process. One of my cars however uses android auto so I’m stuck there. Is there even an alternative that is open source, has traffic data and works in android auto?
Wish I could recommend Waze, but it’s owned by Google :(
I know, kills me. I used to use that all the time.
You could buy an actual GPS from Garmin or something instead. I’m not aware of anything open that has traffic data.
I’d prefer to use the screen already in my car though
Possibly the TomTom app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomtom.gplay.navapp
I forgot about them, I’ll look into it.
They also have AmiGo which is free but need constant internet connection
How about OsmAnd? I don’t know if it will working on android auto or not.
This is what I think, if I had more budget I’ll go for dedicated gps device for navigation.
