I’m on the lookout for a reliable tool that can automate the subtitle download process for my collection of movies and TV shows. I’m hoping to find something that can either work on individual videos by providing the title or hash, or even better, monitor a designated folder for new additions and fetch subtitles accordingly. It would be fantastic if the tool is compatible with Linux and user-friendly. Any recommendations or experiences with similar tools would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
If you are using the *arr stack, Bazarr may be what you are looking for.
Seconded 👍 took me a bit to setup correctly, but there are lots of guides out there.
Thirded. Once it was setup, it just runs and does its thing in the background.
Bazarr is working great.
VLC also had a subtiles search tool, it’s not as advanced but I can be helpful in some cases.
