The kit's electronic components allow owners to control the liftgate from the Tesla app, the vehicle's touchscreen, or with a button on the liftgate itself.
The product is compatible with Tesla Model 3 sedans built before 2021 with a manual liftgate.
There is a bit of trickiness to the NACS announcements. They are using the NACS physical connector with CCS signaling. So if EA or EvGo or ever release a NACS connector, you’ll need that CCS module to get electricity
I didn’t know this, but I’m also skeptical. I know that Tesla NACS is very receptive to other standards (e.g. J1772) and would have to assume that when EA and EvGo adopt NACS, they will be sure to accommodate cars that make up over 50% of North America’s ev fleet.
I just want to be able to buy a CCS retrofit for my model 3. Hopefully that gets released soon
Honest question, why? All car companies are moving to NACS in the next couple years. CCS will be obsolete in North America.
