Pairing without a button press is a horrible choice for a Bluetooth speaker, if someone like a neighbour sees it they can connect to it anytime of the day or night and there’s nothing you can do about it. There’s also an app called Bluetooth LE Spam that people can use to blast ads through it.
That said if you really want one I’d look into Sony I had one of their higher range ones that did it.

Something odd is occurring, as that’s how Bluetooth speakers normally work. (At least all the ones I’ve used)
You pair your device once and anytime you turn it on it connects automatically.
I suppose if your device (speaker or phone) is already connected to something else it won’t or if you’ve manually disconnected it may influence this.
Anker speakers are probably the best bang for your buck.
Most BT stuff I’ve used only needs pairing when you first buy it. Are you trying to use the same speaker with multiple hosts? There may be a special feature for speakers that can remember multiple pairings.

Then you need something wall powered.
Denon has a micro CD/Radio amplifier, that has Bluetooth built in.
You’ll need to get some speakers for it, Roth Audio Oli-RA1 should be perfect.
Ahh then apart from the Sony one I mentioned (which I wouldn’t recommend for the reasons I said) I still can’t really help because every other one I’ve owned needed to have the power on pressed.
Maybe look for speakers with standby as an advertising feature as I think that’s what Sony called it.

This sounds weird. Some devices pair with more than one device, some do not. I have a Bose SoundLink and it is paired to my phone. I paired it once. Any time I turn it on it goes “BBLLLOOP!” And that is how I know it connected. Off I go listening.

JBL Charge 5, or basically any JBL spesker.
You press one button to turn it on, you don’t hold it or anything, just one press, and like all Bluetooth devices, it connects to the last device using it.
I have a Bose Soundlink Micro Bluetooth speaker that goes into a low energy standby anytime it’s not being used. I am able to connect to it and start playing music without pressing any buttons on the speaker. Sounds like what you are looking for. I imagine all their Soundlink speakers have BTLE (and they can be grouped).
