The twins are just dark elves, and that goes for all the denizens. They are all “alive” as their respective species, but Nazarick has access to spells and items that make the drawbacks of living: age, hunger, the need for rest, moot.
No… That’s not a thing. They’re various species, but there isn’t some overarching aspect aside from being player creations that they all possess, afaik.
