It’s about $40k per unhoused person. Maybe edit the title so it’s not clickbait?
So we could give each of them $3000 per month (for rent, food, counseling, etc) and we’d still save money. It’s hard to disbelieve the adage “the cruelty is the point”
They’re left as a visual warning to the working class “this could be you! Get to work!”
