    US is very obviously far behind in terms of materials science, hence why they’re still unable to make hypersonic glide vehicles. It’s the same problem there that you need materials that can withstand incredible amounts of heat. I would also imagine this is basically a weapon designed specifically to take out high value targets like carriers, so it probably doesn’t need to have a lot of shots.
