Most District 2 residents are likely asking "Who's Stephen Sherrill?" But the more relevant question is "Why Stephen Sherrill?"

Nice article by Eskenazi on the appointment of Stephen Sherrill to the vacant D2 Supervisor seat vacated by Catherine Stefani, who was elected to the CA Assembly.

It’s a surprising appointment because, as Eskenazi says, Sherrill would be unlikely to win in an election in that district.
