Ok, as someone who’s been attempting to switch to Linux for 20 years and finally did it. (I went from every PC in the house having Windows to all them on Linux.) You’ll have to know a few things, but nothing super major that you can’t easily google. Especially if you are on one of the more popular “it just works” ditros. Microsoft games work fine on Linux. I’m pretty sure WoW works, but I quit that game years ago so cannot confirm.
Use protondb.com for steam games and any others you can google. (For example I just looked up that WoW works on Lutris.)
