Just ran across something weird. Using Voyager in iOS, the original link football@lemm.ee doesn’t show me the option to subscribe. However, if I open a post and go to the community from there, it’s Football@lemm.ee (uppercase first letter) and then I can subscribe

Sounds like a bug that should be raised to the voyager dev, community names should be case insensitive. You can make a report here, if you don’t have a github account I can do it for you if you want?

Yup I wanted to do it but haven’t found the time. I was planning to do it this weekend but if you’re able to do it before then please go ahead. I’ll check over the weekend if it’s been reported, if not then I can do it.

Glad we’re off dot world. I never had a huge issue with it but where there’s smoke there’s fire I think.

They’re just too big. Once communities will be spread more evenly they’ll probably realize they can’t just dictate how the whole platform behaves

I feel pretty sympathetic with the admin team. They’re in a spot where it’s impossible to not make one group or another angry. They are probably doing their best to create a nice server. It’s clear from their ad hoc rules that the team keep facing new problems they weren’t expecting.

Yes, they’re in a bit of a unique position. I’ve seen some of their admins just wishing people would go elsewhere to release the load on a bit
