I like it. Roll with the consequences of your actions, be they accidental or not, but I can see how that can be frustrating for some

Given the country’s past, they’re now so incredibly averse to anything that could even be vaguely construed as criticism of jewish identity and sovereignty (by the Israeli government) that they will bend over backwards to defend all sorts of nonsense.
As a Brit, the analogy I’ve always enjoyed is that living in Canada vs the USA is like owning a nice apartment above a crack den. Although, I can’t speak to the validity of said statement.
Yeah, tanking a district makes that area harder and doesnt feel great; however, if you don’t kill any of them, the combat is really hard because you’re under levelled. So you have to make moral judgements and choose who is “best” to kill.
That’s just the campaign. They’ll slap an 8/10 on the multiplayer and call it a day. It’ll sell gang busters again, then when they do the same thing again next year, no-one will bat an eye.
And yet here you are trying your hardest
That still can’t inform you properly on how a game ‘feels’ to play. I’m very tempted by Alan Wake 2, but having bounced off many other similar games because of how they control has me pining for a demo. I’ll not be dropping 50 quid without being able to try it first
The episode could’ve been called Shades of Cave(s)
Oh nice. Didn’t realise these were out now as I don’t have Netflix. Definitely wanna check them out. Need to rewatch Ateroid City actually, I watched it with someone clearly not interested who kept talking!
I watched Citizen Kane for the first time. It’s one I’d never got round to despite it being so lauded. I’ll be honest, it being black and white and from 1941, I had prejudged it as I’ve not been a fan of other films of that era.
Thankfully, It’s pretty bloody good! In many ways it feels a more modern film than many that came after it. Yes, some of the acting is a bit hokey, but Orson Welles is great, and the directing, cinematography, and music are all stellar. There’s so many bold and interesting choices and often a tangible sense of heightened reality about it. It’s an odd film in that it outlines the entire plot in the first 10 minutes, but still hooks you with the central question. What is Rosebud? But, more importantly, who is Charles Foster Kane?
That’s awesome. I’m at the tail end of my first playthrough, but I’m already thinking about and all druid run with Halsin, Jaheira, Tav, and a respecced origin. I think druid is flexible enough to pull it off. How are you finding system shock, then? I never played it originally but have played many of its ‘spiritual sequels’ in terms of immersive sims. I was tempted to harken back when the remake came out but never bit the bullet.
Baldur’s Gate (in act 3 now), Lies of P, and just dipped my toe into Warhammer 40k Darktide. It’s quite nice having very different games to bounce between.
I’ve got Cocoon waiting a well. I heard it’s quite short so maybe I’ll boot it up on an evening where Lies of P is kicking my arse too much lol
I’ve just dipped my toes into Darktide on xbox gamepass. I love the visceral, impactful feel to melee combat so far. I have been playing with one friend so have come afoul of the lack of communication with others that don’t chat, but so far have found it to be acceptably stable in terms of gameplay
Shovel. She’s chaotic evil through and through, and I love her. She just wants to murderize and is bored with anything else (except arson). Hearing her maniacally shout “it’s fisting time!” and “I’m gonna eat your babies!” Is still making me chuckle into act 3.
True. Unfortunately, holding people in the transport buffer is one of those things you have to entirely forget exists if you want to tell certain stories. The transporter in general could trivialise a lot of story beats.
No. Shovel is only interested in murderizing, and I love her for it.
I enjoyed the demo but I do hope they tweaked a few things. I hear they made the dodge more viable which should make it a much smoother experience
That first season of TNG is… rough. Although, that’s kind of an issue with most trek and it can easily put people off. Only TOS, Lower Decks, and Strange New Worlds were birthed with beard full grown
Some apple juices contain an ingredient called isinglass which is made from dried fish bladders. And some apples may be waxed with beeswax (from bees) or shellac (from bugs) before being juiced.
Since they belong to the super family musteloidea, Wash Weasel seems more accurate. Definitely still closer to bears than rodents though.
