You know dairy/beef cows don’t exist regardless of farms, right? They’re bred for the industry. Tax means higher price, higher price means lower demand, lower demand means they won’t be breeding as many cows.

Also, milk production usually does go down somewhat over time and sometimes even does cease, and it’s different for every individual, which makes it less predictable and less profitable to just impregnate a cow once. This is why dairy farmers almost always try to impregnate their cows yearly. Have you tried easing into the topic with close friends? For example, by talking about the ethics of porn. That’s how it started to be a topic with my friends. We dont really talk detail, but we discuss what techniques work and recommend toys, for example.

This doesn’t really discuss how exactly the correlation works. I’d be interested to know if in some cases depression causes living alone instead of the other way around. I know I’ve isolated myself when depressed. Not having to share spaces also helps with anxiety, which often comes with depression. Also maybe there’s some personality types that a both more prone to depression and more inclined to prefer solitude.
