Ok I figured it out actually - it’s HackerNews (both derogatory and non-derogatory at the same time)
What’s the markdown of social media? Both derogatory and non-derogatory answers accepted
I mean, check it out just to rule out the possibility, I guess. The letter spells out how to determine whether this was the case or not - do a hand recount.
Noticeable is in the eyes of the beholder. A lesson hard learned from my own career - no one will care if you do good things if you don’t market them.
I guess that could be called a propaganda battle.
76 million, which is not 100s.
Also unironically yes - the time for being polite has passed. Braindead people should be labelled as such in public forums.
I think this is actually a valid takeaway for the Democrats for the next election:
You are on the clock to Noticeably Improve People’s Lives (NIPL) during your term, or your braindead electorate are going to flush the country down the toilet post-haste. While investing in long-term gains is important, all those investments will be sabotaged if you can’t improve people’s lives in a way they can actually tell, and critically, communicate it to the aforementioned braindead electorate so that they know the effect you had.
After the local amusement park had an issue leading to death in one of the rides, I feel redeemed in not wanting to ride these things.
This was in Sweden as well - we generally have good safety records, and it still can’t be done safely here apparently.
As a counterpoint, I’ve bought loads of really good cycling accessories from AliExpress. It’s not impossible to buy high-quality things from China - this is after all where a large part of everything is manufactured these days - you just have to be careful not to fall for the offers that are just obviously too good to be true.
Uncapped overtime excuses bad management. I get why they’re pissed, this puts a spotlight on how bad they are at management.
Stopping your finger from bleeding by cutting off the entire arm is not a particularly good plan.
Sure, inflation is down, but the absolute condition for the average argentinian is not strictly speaking great.
It’s clear that some form of change to stop the runaway inflation was needed, but this was not the way to go
I think that would be against the terms of the policy for the types of insurance you can get here in Sweden, so basically another level of fraud. But yeah, that makes sense, you could double/triple-dip and get ahead that way.
Sounds great! To clarify, each post detail screen has a ‘comments on post-counter’, what I noticed was that, when making a new comment on a post, this counter was not immediately updated to reflect the new post count, which should be at least (n +1) where n is the post count prior to submitting the new comment.
I guess you’d still have a scratched car at that point, though. Maybe you need to combine it with a dishonest repair shop massively inflating the bill, along with an insurance company that doesn’t pay enough attention.
I’m struggling to see how this scam is actually supposed to work - if your car sustains damage, wouldn’t your insurance just cover the cost to repair that damage, meaning you are just back at square one?
Layers - get a good base layer, merino wool is the gold standard for these. You also want to get a neck gaiter, plus some merino wool socks, and some kind of cap. These will keep you warm and dry throughout most cold weather. Add more layers on top when outside, and remember to remove layers proactively if you feel yourself starting to sweat - it’s never a good idea to be wet in cold weather. The base layer will make physical exertion a pretty hot affair quite fast, so you’d be surprised how fast the sweat starts pouring.
Gotta make use of that Force Majeure-clause
