Mainly this, alongside a cost of living crisis not unique to Canada. Other concern is there is some animous towards immigrants as poor immigration policy is a part of why housing is where it is. Sadly, I’m not sure I’d feel welcome as an immigrant in Canada right now (perhaps more so for Indian/Pakistani immigrants, but still).
Avoid Canada, or at least Toronto/Vancouver. Country is not in a great state atm.
I certainly hope someone got fired for that blunder
That’s weird - I’ve been playing for years with zero issues. The odd crash on startup. Only downside is I can’t log into my Xbox account.
Are your crashes random, or caused by anything specific?
Still stuck on my 3a XL waiting in vain for a headphone jack…
Fair enough, although I still think the timeframe is some classic Proton soon™ copium. The community CLI app currently supports it.
That said, I might expect the official app to have higher standards for security. And, the community version cannot handle split tunneling and kill switch at once, you have to pick one or the other.
That would make sense, cheers
I’m confused, I thought it already had this? I’ve been using it for months. What is new here?
Glad to hear that things are still happening to the Linux app anyway. Slowly but surely we’ll catch up to feature parity (split tunneling when?).
IMO we’re pushing it pretty hard now, if they keep pumping out civs we’ll be 60 before you know it. I can barely keep track of all of them as it is. I feel like it’d hurt the semi-casual MP scene if we have to memorise bonuses of so many civs.
Potentially HOVER! on the ol’ Windows ME machine iirc.
Age of Empires 2 also comes to mind.
Credit cards
Just a slimy middleman taking a cut of every transaction and trapping people in debt. But a bit of a tragedy of the commons because merchants raise prices to accommodate CC fees and the rewards are hard to pass up.

Bro it’s petty revenge time. [Company name] needs to see these messages and asked if this is representative of their company values.

One of my greatest pet peeves is random folders appearing in my home folder. Thanks for this
I was referring to Brian Sinclair, which was ages ago now, so tbf that is out of date. Hopefully some policy changes have been made since then.
Still using “at least we’re not the USA!” to excuse a dumpster fire of a healthcare system, as we have been for years.
It is important to note that there isn’t a “Canadian” healthcare system, per se. It is largely a provincial jurisdiction. So while Manitoba sees outrageous wait times, hallway medicine, nurse shortages, and people dying in ER waiting rooms because they don’t have a GP, I can’t speak for every province in the country.
Anecdotally, my experience is… OK. I’m lucky to have a family doctor that I’ve had since childhood. That said, I’ve moved multiple times since then, and I haven’t been able to find a doctor in any of my new communities, so if I ever need to see a GP, its an hour drive back to my hometown.

Fuck 'em, never give them a thing. My favourite thing is when I get to give info like this to a real live person, we always get to share a giggle.
What about the pedals?
