Same with my Filipino dad who as a chef used hundreds of Mexican workers. When I was in grade school living in south Florida all the Brazilian kids would call all the other South American kids Mexicans.

I enjoy office work more than wfh because I genuinely like the people I work with and I think we riff off each other way better in person
The worst is when you’re trying to look for something but one of the discord bots has said a word similar ten billion times so that’s all that comes up. You’ll try to ban the bot to see other comments but then you just get like blank space or some shit where the bots comments would be
Last time I had cable there were channels with music only they were like channel 674574 or some shit tho
Mesa can tink of far worsen narrators
Hah I was about to say that only bad part of startups that I’ve had was that you weren’t sure if you’d have a job six months from now. I probably just got lucky and jumped on board during the “throw cash at everything phase”
We’re just calling everything ADHD now
Hah I’m definitely getting my brother that one for Christmas!
Yeah I jumped on the $500 Rivendell set and was more than happy to pay that. Before that one came out my brother and I always talked about how sad we were that we didn’t get the older LoTR sets
I just roll the dice and use the reheat button. 90% of the time it works every time
Hong Kong
I just expected like a flat New York “too tame to be fun” city but was met with mountains, beaches, and so many bizarre but charming events.
Not that I don’t like New York but it has changed a lot. I don’t want to say it lost its personality but I feel like a lot of big cities have become idk… commercialized?
The food in Hong Kong was pretty disappointing tho or maybe I built it up too much in my head. I went to so many restaurants that were recommended to me by either locals or expats and they were all so bland. Which is wild because I didn’t have to go far across the border into China to find amazing dishes.
Idk you ever hold a tiny beetle and get to feel how oddly strong and grippy their legs are?
I just picture a giant beetle mask
Same
For some reason I won’t watch dramas, but if you dress one of the characters up in a rubber alien suit and then slap a sci fi tag on that bad boy I’ll eat it up
I do feel like a lot of people here are on guard and that doesn’t make for the best vibes.
My wife was asking me the other day how my “shitty Reddit” was doing. I told her it was like someone rounded up all the little twerps that require you to add fine print to everything you say on Reddit.
Also if you post more casual things to a specific sub then you’re almost guaranteed to get downvotes from people just browsing the ‘all’ feed. Like who gives a shit about downvotes but it does make it harder to gauge if they’re from people in the community not interested or just randos.
Yeah I think men and women should all have some basic level of repair skills. I feel like somewhere along the line everyone got too afraid to break things or hurt themselves.
As a joke I was looking for general everyday items they might’ve sold but now I feel like I’m on a new list.
I did find cool Hawaiian satellite shirts that I kinda want now
I really liked the first Moana but I can’t think of any story worth telling for a sequel.
I like to use my impact driver to really dig in those fasteners. The crunching sound means it’s not going anywhere
Subaru had a fun campaign targeting lesbians in the 90s after they noticed that lesbians were driving their cars.
Eh prom was the last time I saw a bunch of people I was fond of. Granted I graduated before Facebook was a thing but I bet everyone these days says “we’ll stay in touch” but never does.
Prom shouldn’t be important but I hope people have fun memories
