It’s because we can to an extreme. Extremely lightweight distro. Very nice in containers and vms. One of the most loved ones out there.

When I learnt programming (back in early 2000s) the textbook said C is a high level 3rd generation language with 4th gen languages being something higher (I don’t remember what examples were given specifically). This is back when the java applets and action script for flash were the hot things. How I miss the days without the world being cursed by JS.
Sure. But how about a plank length instead of width of H atom. That would be great.
Yeah… I love them. Makes my != look like ≠
It’s the upper bound

Use bottles. It works great for me.
Install bottles via flatpak. Run it and create a new bottle with the gaming preset. Got to the settings - > runners and download the latest “proton-ge” runner. Then just add the exe to the bottle and add it to your library. Launch to play.
It really helps smooth the curve. Some installers fail to open so I use the system default to install it and then copy them over to my games directory.
PS: if you see no exe files being listed when you try to add an exe, clear the file filter in the bottom to all files. Bottles has this weird bug on some DEs
You did this wearing a proper Gimp suit I presume
It’s Geographical isolation and natural selection all the way down.
Doesn’t arch auto install 32 bit headers on enabling multilib?
I want to disagree. Like I get that installing arch maybe difficult for someone not familiar with the Linux environment, once you install it up and make it sweet looking, for daily use, it’s generally cool. A non tech savvy person is anyways going to be using the browser and office suite mostly, so I install Firefox with uBlock and install Libre office. I also install flatpak and packagekit and they can wasily install software from there, I recommend them to use flathub mostly and I have had only one of my friends machine borked because they read a little bit stuff online and installed stuff from the aur. And the aur borking a system is rare too.
The only prerequisite to giving new users an arch install is that you are there for support.
Wait till the deep fish teacher teaches about angler fishes
This is by far the best explanation
Yeah… It’s an awesome crate. I use it for my app too.
What the fuck is local low? I don’t understand. Local is Billy G’s jizz… I get that… And Roaming is for poor plebs. But why LocalLow? Is it like cache? But I have seens games saving their save files there. I don’t understand
How did they solve the static dust problem?
I don’t think a human wrote this steaming hot piece of horsedung
My brother. You are scared of infinities. Look up the infinite hotel problem. I will lay it out for you if you are interested.
Image you are incharge of a hotel and it has infinite rooms. Currently your hotel is at full capacity… Meaning all rooms are occupied. A new guest arrives. What do you do? Surely your hotel is full and you can’t take him in… Right? WRONG!!! You tell the resident of room 1 to move to room 2, you tell the resident of room 2 to move to room 3 and so on… You tell the resident of room n to move to room n+1. Now you have room 1 empty
But sir… How did I create an extra room? You didn’t. The question is the same as asking yourself that is there a number for which n+1 doesn’t exist. The answer is no… I can always add 1.
Infinity doesn’t behave like other numbers since it isn’t technically a number.
So when you write 0.99999… You are playing with things that aren’t normal. Maths has come with fuckall ways to deal with stuff like this.
Well you may say, this is absurd… There is nothing in reality that behaves this way. Well yes and no. You know how the building blocks of our universe obey quantum mechanics? The equations contain lots of infinities but only at intermediate steps. You have to “renormalise” them to make them go away. Nature apparently has infinities but likes to hide the from us.
The infinity problem is so fucked up. You know the reason physics people are unable to quantize gravity? Surely they can do the same thing to gravity as they did to say electromagnetic force? NOPE. Gravitation doesn’t normalise. You get left with infinities in your final answer.
Anyways. Keep on learning, the world has a lot of information and it’s amazing. And the only thing that makes us human is the ability to learn and grow from it. I wish you all the very best.
