Why is it shortsighted? A service like this costs money to run, and if you won’t pay for it, someone else has to.

So did Facebook. It’s the old drug dealer gambit: first hit is on the house, after that, you gotta pay.
Hey kids, do you like violence?
Wanna see me stick nine inch nails through each one of my eyelids?
Wanna copy me and do exactly like I did?
Try 'cid and get fucked up worse than my life is?
Possible, but Vance doesn’t exactly strike me as Hitler 2.0. I watched his Joe Rogan interview and he came off as a pretty reasonable guy.
Did he not read the part where Hitler genocided Jews, Europeans, and the disabled?
That’s the thing though — Hitler didn’t run on a platform of genociding people, he ran on a platform of economic improvement. Weimar Germany was economically depressed and many average people and families were suffering from unemployment and financial hardship while the rich were relatively unaffected and enjoying themselves. Hitler promised to change that (and in all fairness, he did). The genociding Jews part came much later.
Hitler was in charge of Germany for 11 years (1934-1945) — the war didn’t start until 1938, and the holocaust only began in 1942, so the voters DID end up getting at least 4 years of relative peace and prosperity. Also, keep in mind that Hitler was 45 years old when he became chancellor, meanwhile Trump is 78, meaning even if he manages to finish his second tenure successfully, he’ll very likely simply be too old by the end of it in order to continue, which makes it somewhat unlikely that he’ll attempt to stage another coup in order to remain dictator for life.
Hawaii does have the largest coffee growing industry in the entire US but they are severely limited by the amount of available land. Compared to other coffee-producing nations, the Big Island is microscopically tiny, so they mainly focus on high quality, artisanal product sold at extremely high prices. Not that I would mind if all the coffee sold everywhere would be replaced by Kona coffee overnight, but it just isn’t feasible.
Weird, because I remember back when Jack Dorsey used to run it no one was complaining, even though he’s also a billionaire.
Somebody once told me…
Europeans be like: “I’m just gonna take a half tablet, don’t want to get dependent on this stuff”
Meanwhile, Americans:
Yes, it’s real. Just another case of “the European mind cannot comprehend”.
It do be like that 😤
That’s nonsense, because whenever there is a product being sold at such massive markups, there is a HUGE opportunity to make money simply by undercutting the market (i.e. selling a cheaper alternative).
Either this is the result of overregulation forbidding cheaper, imported alternatives to be sold, monopoly control, or there’s more to the story than OP is telling us (such as iron only being this cheap in Germany because it’s subsidized / covered by insurance, etc.)
Just because Trump won doesn’t mean he’s running things yet. Technically, the Biden administration is still in charge until January. This is happening on their watch.
Best I can do is less more
What part of “he won the popular vote” did you not understand? Across all states, more people voted for him than for Harris. Even if there was no electoral college, he would still be president.
Unless you’re arguing that electoral college votes should be redistributed in a way that ensures the winner will always be a Democrat…
Communism is just state enforced minimalism.
“I wanna go to the ocean but I really hate those fuckers in Sierra Leone, Libera, Côte D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, and Benin.”
You’re welcome. Glad I could help.
You can use a third party launcher like Heroic to avoid having to install that bloated crapfest of an app.
