What’s the comp pic for Allende?
This is a copied right-wing meme, from the art to the flippancy with human life to the lack of substance beyond “u mad?”. Why are we copying them? You don’t fight fire with fire, etc.
A socialist meme would clown on reactionaries who pearl clutch about the Romanovs while ho-humming countless workers’ deaths, or clown on the historical ignorance of what would have happened had they made it out alive, or contrast this with Puyi.
In the same breath, libs will thank the Secret Service for immediately killing the shooter and also say “violence is never an acceptable response.”
That’s probably the most succinct way to state the contradiction. You’re OK with taking out an active shooter, but not with taking out someone who (as libs love to tell you) is about to hurt or kill people all over the world?
Kubuqi and its sister projects are well on track to have a generational capacity of 455 gigawatts(GW), 60% of which will be solar and the other 40% will be wind. That’s staggering — to put it into perspective, that’s more clean energy generation capacity than is currently available in any nation outside China. A system that large could almost cover India’s current energy needs by itself. 455 GW is equal to the combined green energy generation of the the United Kingdom, Australia and Indonesia, plus the total power capacity of Brazil.
These bases are all due to come online within the next year or two.
Meanwhile in the U.S., our one party that nominally recognizes the reality of climate change openly mocks discussion of remedies that match the scope of the problem.
The installation of bases like the one in Kubuqi has analysts, like those from the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA), all but guaranteeing that Chinese emissions and fossil fuel use will not only fall next year, but enter “into an extended period of structural decline.”
those who run afoul of the ruling class simply suicide by shooting themselves… in the back of the head… with a revolver… twice
It’s more that if you don’t toe the line enough in the imperial core you lose access to sources, then lose your job (or change careers because you never get promoted) as a result of not having that access. All the viable careers in journalism require one to be a stenographer of power. This means in the long term you drum out all those who are too willing to be critical.
This is the guy Democrats are “triangulating” towards
The Dachau example is a good one to raise whenever there’s handwringing about Cuban peasants killing Batista thugs or Chinese peasants killing landlords.
You care more about posting etiquette than you do about Canadian parliament applauding a Nazi.
This story has circulated widely enough (I see multiple articles on BBC and CBS, among other outlets) that they had to issue an apology. I don’t believe you haven’t heard of it, but if you really haven’t, what does that say about where you’re getting your news/what draws your attention?
Do you have even the slightest problem with Canadian parliament applauding a Nazi? You and a bunch of other people here seem to think litigating how to post is more important than the actual issue.
Here’s the news story if you missed the dozen other threads on it and the discussion elsewhere in this thread. Let me know if you need anything else spoonfed to you.
The Canadian parliament gave one of these Nazis a standing ovation within the past week.
The point is that who that guy was should be no surprise to anyone, because this all has been public knowledge since (at least) Windows 95.
This is relevant context to the recent incident of the Canadian parliament giving a standing ovation to one of these Nazis.
Holy shit, read what you respond to
The guy criticizing Canada for knowingly admitting Nazis is somehow a Nazi?
Sharp as a cue ball, this one
“I’m lazy” is your argument here? Even the blurb from the start of the article says this immigration happened in 1950.
Did history start yesterday? Are we ever allowed to discuss the background of current events?
I explained why in the comment you responded to, read that lol

If you’re going to rules lawyer, do it well.
This is very obviously relevant to a recent news story that has had several posts here already.
This is relevant context to the recent incident of the Canadian parliament giving a standing ovation to one of these Nazis. The “narrative” here is that that it’s abhorrent and no one in the room has an excuse to plead ignorance as the presence of Nazis in Canada was well-known at least 25 years ago.
To the capitalist, every luxury of the worker seems to be reprehensible, and everything that goes beyond the most abstract need – be it in the realm of passive enjoyment, or a manifestation of activity – seems to him a luxury.
Marx, I Fucking Told You, Bro
He didn’t actually want to buy Twitter – remember that a court had to force him to after he made the deal and then tried backing out. What his motivations were then and how they’ve evolved is not the most clear.
