I’d personally opt for something more “conventional”, like the SCMaglev being developed in Japan (or better yet, that Chengdu Maglev prototype). As fast as this train would go inside a vacuum tube, the tube itself will just add much more complexities and points of failure, on top of being more expensive to build/maintain.

Also a large part of the “experience” is also being to watch the scenery pass by at 300-600km/h+ out of the window, which is lost when inside of a very long concrete/steel tube.

A replacement screen for my 2012 Samsung laptop. I fell on it, slipping on the ice and the screen was totally fucked. So woe is me, time to go to a technician and someone on the bus overheard me and suggested I buy the screen and fix it myself. Tech quoted me 300 bucks and 2 months wait.

So I bought it for under 100 bucks, took just a week and followed a how-to guide on Youtube. It was an improvement because it meant I was finally developing a job skill in computer maintenance and could do something to at least survive in capitalism.

Something like 15 minutes break between 45 minutes of each lecture/period would be probably the most logical solution (which many countries implement) so there is at least some chill time instead of just having to hurry class to class. What if you need to 9/11 the school toilet, grab the heavy-arse books from the locker, make death threats to NAFOs on Twitter, or get some xp in Runescape? Maybe kids will be less likely to goof off in class?

We actually study history and read shit. Like I just finished reading Long Walk to Freedom & Armed and Dangerous, both are a fairly good firsthand on how “fascists” respond to non-violence and only start to have reservations when the oppressed shoot back.

The newer hardware tends to usually have a longer lifespan. A 10-year old computer today is a 3rd or 4th gen Core i7, still decently powerful. A 10-year old computer 10 years ago was a Pentium 4, pretty much useless.

Same will apply to phones. I had an S5 that I bought in 2014 which by 2019 actually was getting too old, hobbled by it’s paltry 2GB of RAM. Bought an S8 in 2019 which already was 2 years old and it’s already outlived the S5 by almost 2 years. It’s starting to show signs of age but will probably last at least another couple years. I’m expecting the S22/S23 Ultra to last into the 2030s.

The whole BRICS thing was pretty off the chain and I’m still making progress on shedding excess kilograms.

I also realized I can use the company phones I repair to make new emails (without Google demanding a phone number) for when my 69,420th Twitter account inevitably gets banned for threatening to remove a NAFO’s face with my Galil.
