I haven’t watched any but have been recommended a few clips of members saying about how the company is changing and that’s definitely why a few recent members have left

I think the only reason they haven’t officially done it is because Gura is the most subbed VTuber, if and when Marine overtakes her I expect they’ll probably announce it

So definitely seems like this is what members will be doing going forward, not a full graduation so it still allows them to come back for special occasions.

And so ends the first cour of season 3.

Firstly this episode, another great one. The Crusch scene was really well done, the dragon blood really does look horrible.

Still no mention of Wilhelm’s wound, I assume that’s just going to be cut. But he still has it as we saw him holding his shoulder in a previous episode.

And Emilia standing up to Regulus and seeing all the wives reactions before Subaru and Reinhard arrive, what an entrance.

Overall a fantastic first cour, I really hope the 2nd is able to be at a consistent level of quality because if so it’s seeming like we’ll be eating good. And hopefully the arc 6 adaptation is confirmed towards the end, either for a season 4 or as the 2nd half/3rd & 4th cour of season 3

Oh wow just seen that Al’s face was partially visible at one point I didn’t even notice that. Only really his eyes but they do look a lot like Subaru’s, the theory gets some more fuel

Finally reached Subaru’s speech. Been about 3 years since I originally read it in the WN and have been looking forward to it being voiced ever since and it was amazing. This is why Subaru is a great protagonist.

As for the non speech parts, the scene with Al and Emilia was interesting, so he doesn’t have his own communication mirror he got it from some cultists he killed, wonder how many attempts that took. Al was a highlight the whole episode honestly, him trying to convince Subaru to not do the speech really stands out given what happens in Arc 7.

So I guess we’ll be ending the season with Subaru and Reinhard busting down the doors to the church, quality cliffhanger. But I’m not ready to be without Re:Zero until February :( hopefully the arc 6 adaptation will be announced at AnimeJapan

Well, it’s also an issue in the LN but given that only has ~10 illustrations per book, it’s not as noticeable.

On the plus side, Subaru gets an outfit change for the next part of the story after Priestella which he then keeps for the next few arcs without change…

In Subaru’s case, Rem made multiple copies of his tracksuit but how they still exist after her name was eaten I guess doesn’t really make sense.

As for everyone else, it’s just that typical anime thing of keeping characters in the same outfit so you don’t need a design sheet for multiple outfits.

A decent episode, definitely a weaker one but with the content it had to cover you can’t really blame it.

Yang sword scene was cool but everything else was just good. Nothing really too special. Can’t remember exactly what comes next but I’m wondering if the speech will be next episode or the cliffhanger for cour 1.

Also finally getting some sussy Al stuff in the anime, looking forward to that conversation next week

Yeah after arc 7 & 8 it’s hard to keep track

Another fantastic episode, probably the best of the season thus far and might not be topped until the 2nd cour honestly. From the novels I did imagine there to be more flies all crammed together in the room but it was still really uncomfortable.

And Capella, wow. 10/10 animation and voice acting, Whole scene was amazing, as a character in the story I love Capella but you really do hate her she’s actually horrible.

My anime only friends I’ve been watching with have started wondering when Subaru will die to redo all of this and I’m just trying hard to not tell them there’s no more deaths for this season, but it’s perfectly understandable, I was the same when reading the WN.

Also, have to mention how much better the animation continues to be compared to season 2, even just seeing people have different body movement whilst talking is so nice to see

Another great episode, probably 2nd favourite behind episode 2. Capella’s VA is killing it, they did a really good job at making you think she was the dragon.

Garfiel and Mimi was really heartbreaking and they subtly had Wilhelm notice the wound and have him hold his shoulder where his wound is. Man the Astrea stuff is gonna be so good this season.

And speaking of, I don’t think we actually saw the Felt, Reinhard and Heinkel scene in the WN/LN, so that’s an anime only scene.

Al being his usual sussy self with that line of him learning how Typhon died and the Gluttony advice.

And Subaru finally coming face to face with Gluttony, the cuts to Rem were really good.

And then of course the ending lmao, I wonder if they’ll be cutting Emilia’s reaction to it or if we’ll just get that next episode.

Edit: Actually, maybe Capella was the dragon here, it’s only later when she turns Reala’s husband into the dragon

Another great episode, that little tease of Capella I can’t wait for her to be on full display.

I’d forgotten about the big Regulus rant and thought that was going to be here but it must be later on during his fight with Reinhard. But even his mini rants here were great.

And man that scene with Garfiel made me tear up, you forget sometimes that he’s only like 15. Really glad they’ve kept the phantom Elsa from the LN as that was a great addition to the arc.

Looking forward to next week, I think that’ll be the first assault on the city hall
