I mean, it would be an order of magnitude more work to grow all the food and build the (subpar in comparison) amenities I need to survive. But I guess then I would just be a slave to nature. You can’t escape.
Urban myth. How often are we gonna keep reposting this bullshit.
That is what it’s all about?
There is basically no faster way to advertise
Unsurprisingly this is a bigly amount of people on any online platform, it turns out.
Just… exponentially more on Lemmy since a large portion of it is Linux related.
Nope, there’s nothing controversial about it. If you’re in a wooded area with a bear and a man you’re more likely to be harmed by a man. Doesn’t matter how you view the question, just matters how much of a basement dweller you are.
Edit: By nothing controversial - no mainstream news or popular opinion pieces or the general public at large don’t understand it. There is no controversy. Be insular on the internet all you want, I’m not attacking your opinions. But controversial is not this.
There is literally nothing better about the clientele of this platform than reddit except people are nicer and probably less miserable on average in the comments. If anything its users are less socialized and more insular - e.g. I use linux server extensively for work where it controls most of the internet, but most of the hot takes here about linux here are beyond stupid. If anything, between Lemmy and reddit, the users here are even more convinced they’re knowledgeable and infallible connoisseurs, if that’s even possible. So when fallout does happen, it’s generally more ugly.
Also, the bear thing is not controversial - except with infantile man-children. Those people don’t get to represent a demographic.
Laugh’s in mule
Think I’m gonna be taking the solidarity approach pretty soon. Humanity is truly a cancer.
When you say those words do you imagine normal people reading this and not laughing
The deeper I get into this platform the more I realize the guise of being ‘progressive, left, privacy-conscious, tech inclined’ is literally the opposite.
??? So why don’t we get better at making energy than get scared about using a renewable resource. Fuck it let’s just go back to the printing press.
Amazing to me how stuff like this gets upvoted on a supposedly progressive platform.
Now this is something I can get behind. But I was talking about the decision to retaliate in the first place.
Why?? Please make this make sense. Having AI to help with coding is ideal and the greatest immediate use case probably. The web is an open resource. Why die on this stupid hill instead of advocating for a privacy argument that actually matters?
Edit: Okay got it. Hinder significant human progress because a company I don’t like might make some more money from something I said in public, which has been a thing literally forever. You guys really lack a lot of life skills about how the world really works huh?
Hmmm, no custom bare metal commercial product running linux? Roger that captain.
Hmm… accusations of pedophilia. I was gonna say ‘mods is this the kind of vibes you’re intending to curate on this community?’ But, the last comment of the top mod is 9 months ago agreeing that you guys are gatekeeping douchebags and then he promptly left. This is truly, truly tragic, your level of pathetic autistic calamity.
I was never under it, douchebag
Did this person write a book because I want to read it.
Having no idea what this is about and being on a Linux meme subreddit is absolutely peak Lemmy.
