  • My main server cabinet at my parents house. I have one old Synology for backups, one home built Xpenology for streaming and one small server with old gaming hardware for steam link, but its barely running anymore. Theres one HP server with 2x Xeon E5 and 128GB missing in the photo that I got for 100€ at an auction, which I use for occasional game server hosting.

At home I have this setup, my main synology NAS and a thinkcentre with an i7 and 16GB of ram for Minecraft and FiveM.

  • My wife voted from overseas (Germany) and her ballot is stuck in customs for 4 weeks now and didn’t arrive in time. We sent it through airmail with tracking and usually, letters arrive in a week.

Thats begs the question: Why would a ballot be stuck in customs for so long and why does a letter have to go through customs in the first place

Worst of all, she voted in Wisconsin where trump won by less than 30k votes. Online there are multiple people reporting that their ballot is stuck in customs. Could it be that postmaster general DeJoy is supressing votes by redirecting votes to customs? I assume that overseas votes from Europe are overwhelmingly for the Democrats.

  • Thats the another huge advantage of the DIN formats, its very easy to calculate the weight if you know the grammage of the paper.

DIN A0 = 1m^2 If the paper has a grammage of 80gr/m^2, that means that one sheet of

    • DIN A1 weighs 40gr
    • DIN A2 weighs 20gr
    • DIN A3 weighs 10gr
    • DIN A4 weighs 5gr

That makes it really simple to calculate postage without weiging it.

When we are printing stuff in bulk you can also use a scale to measure the number of pages without counting and it usually has a very small margin of error (good enough for distributing flyers and stuff)
