1996 Chevrolet Impala SS.
Due to some poor decisions, I had my license suspended for 6 months and a friend of mine ended up driving my 2000 Expedition since I couldn’t, and she started treating it like it was hers. I couldn’t stand this, so when I was able to drive again and she still hadn’t gotten her own vehicle, I wanted to get something she wouldn’t want to drive since she liked my Expy so much. This led me to trading the Expy straight up for a 96 Impala with a broken odometer. She HATED that car but I fuckin loved it. And it was MINE. I installed the 9C1 (Cop car) suspension including front and rear springs, added Edelbrock headers and installed an Infinity sound system complete with dual subs in the trunk. Even added rear door speakers since there were none and it was the cleanest install I’d ever done. I loved that car, but we were moving to Colorado, we needed a truck, and the transmission valve body needed rebuilt which I didn’t have time to do so I traded it. I’m still very sad about it but it will always be my favorite vehicle that I’d owned.
The Floor is the largest shelf in your house!
Dragon Ball Z. I finally watched everything I missed as a kid, all the way to the end. Just started watching Super and the new animation is great, but I can see why people miss the old style.
Watching the silly Arale episode and the baseball episode, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard watching DBZ!! Highly recommended, if you haven’t seen them!
I just picked up Shadow of the Tomb Raider after not having touched a Tomb Raider game since PS1, and still never finishing them. It’s pretty good! It feels a lot like God of War but with Lara Croft. Makes me want to pick up the previous iterations to get more of the story, since I’m a bit lost, but it’s easy to fill in some of the blanks.
Solidworks user here. This is true.
My RX480 is still killing it in 2023!
I might try with my home machine, one day. I just know what happened when I tried to use the wrong driver version for my GPU. It wasn’t one that was certified by Solidworks, so lots of weirdness happened - configurations in assemblies kept reverting to other configurations, and things didn’t seem to “stick.” Switched to a certified driver, and problems went away. Well, most of them. It is still Solidworks, keep in mind.
Just tried downloading RedReader and after logging in, its no longer showing any NSFW content :(
I’ve also tried a number of free alternatives and none of them work like Solidworks. Plus, I have so much automation I’ve built into it that it’s really hard to migrate. I use VBA scripts and Excel to drive PDF export options, all driven from a custom properties tab. So much automation that I’ve hand-built that I wish I could just drop into Linux and be in my way :(
I would love to switch completely to Linux, but the Engineering software I use is specific to Windows and their certified drivers (Solidworks). However, my home computer may get the switch sooner than later! I love how well SteamOS works and now I want it on my main machine.
I really do love it here.
I post, therefore I am.
After going through way too many backpacks that just end up falling apart, I bit the bullet and bought an Aer City Pack Pro and I couldn’t be happier. It’s rugged, durable, and most importantly: it stands upright on its own!!! Every other pack I’ve had just falls right over when setting it down. I also love that I can walk through pouring rain and none of my stuff gets wet.
