Really appreciate your elaborate sharing! I tried installing Splitwise but it seems to require a subscription to use or only allow me to add a few entries. I don’t think I would be using it frequently enough to afford a subscription so I guess I will try out other alternatives suggested here.
Thanks though!
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Thanks! I installed Splitwise and it seems to require a subscription to run? I think I’ll just be using it for a trip or maybe two so subscription for it is a bit too much.

How do you add a dictionary?
I really had to think hard and I guess I seldom use it. I touch-type but somehow my body has learnt to use only the left hand for almost all the modifier keys no matter how many keys I have to press there. It’s actually a good idea that I only realise now that I should map that right shift for something else.
All the lingo and acronyms.
I tried their email out for some time and was contemplating fully switching over. But somewhat in their email has always felt broken to me. Some days it was the text editor. Other days it was the reader and account thumbnails. Their support was responsive but their engineering really gave the feeling that they didn’t care in the past few months.
I guess that’s why. I just wish something in tech isn’t just working towards an MVP and then once it is out or sold, goodbye.
Alternative to Google, they said. It didn’t seem so alternative by its way of hitting the graveyard.
I actually prefer it that way. With tabbed Ribbons (Is it how they’re called?), I constantly have to look over and over again which tab the thing I need is located, ending up in question why X is put here but not there.
The tool is for budgeting so I would say use what is readable for you. Using IBAN for payee sounds like an overkill. You can still manage your payees and merge them later differently.
I despise the fact that most Android phones start with a 6-inch screen. I was resolute to switch to an iPhone mini next time when I’ll change phones but then they also killed that product line. 🫠
I really miss the time I can do everything with one hand using only one thumb.
I don’t think I have that Find in Page function. I have an arrow icon for the button at the bottom right for navigating between threads. Then when I trigger it and further press on the three-dot button in the middle, I only get the options in the screenshot shared above.
How do you call this out? I don’t seem to have it. Using version 1.23.0.
There were subjects which I hated, either because I found them boring, the teachers were not inviting, or I just needed sleep. For instance, chemistry and national history are examples of them.
Many years later, I found myself in situations where I started to develop curiosity around those subjects, where I would wish to have properly learnt or attended those topics again.

I disagree with the idea of unions. I just don’t like anything which creates a lords-and-peasants kind of thing.
By not having unions, he exactly creates the lords-and-peasants kind of thing.
I read somewhere that they prioritised cargo trains over passenger trains anyway when it comes to delays and service reliability.
Besides, what else? There is only one railway network and you gotta use it anyway no matter how trashy it gets.
They don’t even need to compete for passengers.
Germany is prone to dogmatism. There is a culture of putting things in boxes of right or wrong and then signaling it. Besides, skipping to judgement is easier than trying to unravel complications and risking being questioned in a hot seat. Spirit of being risk-averse.
Sometimes you can set double tapping at the phone’s back to take a screenshot. At least it works on Pixel phones, I know.
