Oh, anything in hackers from '95
In hackers, hacking means to literally jump into a 3D world where you like battle and dodge the programs and connections between web pages which are corporeal.
Hackers!

Awesome. I’m going to use this in real life.
This is one of those goals that I make really important to myself.
So Trump can attack witnesses that testified against him, but he can’t attack jurors because the judge left that in place?
Why lift any part of the ban?
He kept most of it in place, why lift any part of it?
I think a correlation here is also the fact that it’s video game music, which tends to be very repetitive but engaging.
So you might want to explore other popular retro video game soundtracks, because a lot of them will have a similar feel as the track you posted.
Yup, the average for US mass shootings, as in multiple victims of gun violence from a single shooting, in 2024 up to June is 1.5 per day, or about one mass shooting in the US every 16 hours.
You might be thinking of regular shootings, where only one person is injured, which is way more common and includes suicides and accidents.
It’s not profitable or it’s risky.
It costs money to produce, archive and distribute older or more obscure media in the current sales infrastructure, and you’d have to get the rights from whoever owns the rights, so it’s just a big hassle that costs them too much money that they don’t know they’re going to make back.
Or they do know that they’ll definitely not make it back.
Whereas they know if they sell Frozen five they’re going to make money on it.
Okay, so almost two mass shootings per day is the line at which a US official is willing to speak out against gun violence.
Good to know.
I would have said one mass shooting a week is really pushing it, but that’s why they’re the surgeon general.
Line in the sand: roughly two mass shootings everyday.
It’s very common for Teslas to drive into things, like cop cars, parked cars, people and trees and off cliffs.
Sensors and software aren’t reliable yet for high-speed driving or auto braking.
It might still be worth it. I’d rather have Auto sensors in every car and have them all brake all the time and maybe have people stop using cars so much because they’re irritating.
Especially for those giant stupid American SUVs and trucks.
I like the idea, I just I hope they focus solely on make sure the car stops instead of getting distracted so that the sensors aren’t good enough, because that’s just going to cause more accidents
Got it, thanks. I like a mix in a lawn, i let my last backyard grow wild for half a year to see what happened. It was pretty cool, lots of honeybees showed up.
Pppffbbbthhh haha thanks.
Guess I’ll just sit in this, I guess.
What about malfunction or misidentifications?
Errors in any machine are common, and errors in automatic driving systems are ubiquitous and constant.
Ha, this must be why that guy arguing with me that Israel wasn’t trying to illegally annex Palestine suddenly stopped replying.
Update: thank you for pointing out to me which community this was posted on.
I’m going to leave this post up as a cautionary tale for people like me who don’t pay enough attention!
But Linux is cool cuz it’s so fast and it doesn’t break.
Long as I’ve been using it anyway.
So now linux is going to be much slower, going to break and be more susceptible to security breaches?
I’m not a programmer, is the upside supposed to be that with so many more programmers able to work on the kernel, those issues will be able to be fixed by the extra programmers?
It’s not like there’s anything wrong with Linux right now.
Homemade ice cream, or rather finding a homemade ice cream shop that is crazy good and going every single day to the point that I’m starting to worry about how much sugar I’m in taking.
Also, it’s still crazy rainy over here and I love rainstorms and there’s one going on right now.
And I started playing borderlands one finally and it’s pretty fun.
There’s medical tourism so that you can receive comparable care overseas for much cheaper than in the states, and any job you can get online, even at a pay cut, will make your living expenses cheaper in a lot of other countries than continuing to live in the USA where you get zero benefits.
The USA offers so few benefits to its citizens, especially those more vulnerable, that it makes sense to try your luck elsewhere.
Whooooa yusss, all clover lawns are welcome. That’s awesome.
That’s good to know that your dad was able to put it in so simply too.
Wow! It looks so lush for 3 weeks since, that’s amazing.
I heard about alternative lines a while ago and decided I didn’t want grass, but I had never considered clover and that seems pretty great
I mentioned it that there are a bunch of methods but I just mentioned the two that helped me the most.
Wanted to keep things simple.
I didn’t like the alarm one. That in particular, seems like it would mess with my head more since it’s disrupting sleep.
And I didn’t notice any difference when I used it.
There were a bunch of methods I tried, but most ranged from impractical to irritating, I didn’t want it to disrupt my life too much.
The dream journaling and reality testing was simple and resulted in fairly rapid awareness of my dreams.
That does sound tough, not being able to distinguish dreams from reality.
I had a really cool one where I was like ninja flipping around a mall sliding down jumping off escalator handrails fighting these zombie dogs.
That was pretty rad.

That does seem really dangerous, in terms of people who aren’t expecting a he cars they’re to stop. Or then our expecting their cars to stop and their cars don’t stop. And how bad we know Teslas are at stopping.
On the other hand, if it is implemented, people will be driving super carefully.
adding this kind of a feature seems like it’ll make cars more difficult to drive, and people are already so bad at driving.
Are you sure you’re hacking hard enough?
