All this, despite all the constituents of his party cheering when he stepped down and flooded his replacement with donations and praise.

I would not trust the Biden administration to act in the people’s best interests on this matter, it’s entirely possible that any scrutiny on the 2024 election got handwaived due to Democrats not wanting to look like Trump-esque sore losers.

See the problem I have with this is that sure, you could take a coyote one-on-one. When is that situation going to happen though? Coyotes typically hunt in duos at minimum. Maybe you’re able to get your hands around the first, but you’re not going to be able to finish the fight before the second attacks from your blind spot.

A lot of people judge their ability to win in a fight based on their 1v1 matchup, when realistically you should base it on how many you can expect to face at oncem

I will say; men are stupid, but a lot of the good ones will try hard to convince themselves a woman is just being nice. I wonder if they’re only ever hanging out with these guys one on one, or if they’re hanging with creeps to try and be nice.

Mostly jw because while I’m sure gay men would do the same thing, I’ve anecdotally never had one of them think I was stringing him on. I’m pretty shallow and try hard not to associate with creeps though, and typically make new gay friends at parties/thru friends, so I have way more filters for new people than OP does. I wonder if that’s protecting me.

I was born into a dying world. Before I was old enough to have a say, my elders sold our planet to corporations. Now, fascism is rising across the globe, global temperatures are reaching critical levels, and we’re circling the drain of late-stage capitalism. I think the issue is that most game’s core gameplay loops are not endlessly replayable. Lots of single player RPGs fall into the trap of being alright to progress through for maybe 20 hours, but you can quickly become so powerful that the rest of the game falls into busywork. It’s really hard to meaningfully introduce new and interesting gameplay after the 30 hour mark, but without it things become same-y.

I’d argue this is just a fault of poor game design though. There are RPGs with really well iterated gameplay loops, with a wide array of variety, that I’m happy to put 400+ hours in. Games like Baldur’s Gate 3, or Elden Ring, have a lot of freedom and variety in the way you can approach a playthrough, even allowing you to dramatically change things mid-playthrough, while still feeling mechanically satisfying to play. A 10/10 game will feel good to play forever, but a 7/10 might get boring after 15.
