I’m not sure what bubble you inhabit but Google is “the top job”.
Any company uttering the word “family” in 2024 is deeply out of touch. Is it common? Sadly, yes.
On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a human.

No, “The Game” works only as long as you accept to take part in it, to give validity to the empty statement that you are now inevitably playing “The Game”.
The Basilisk is meant to force that onto you, outside of any arbitraty convention.
TIL.
It sounds like it’s mostly a matter that does not involve the AI but the people working on it, maybe even working on it because of the fear they are subjected to after being the subject of this revelation (possibly by other people involved in the AI that coincidentally are the only ones that could push for such a thing to be included in the AI!).
Something something any cult, paradise/hell, God/AI has nothing to do with this and could even not exist at all.

I use trains to move around within my country, from a couple of hours to 4 or 5 for some long weekend trips.
I’ve been trying my best to stick to trains for longer trips but it’s not easy: it takes a lot longer (and that’s, well, expected and the least of the issues), it’s less confortable (I took some night trains and the quality of my rest was very bad, so much so it impacts the quality of my first day abroad) but most of all, it’s not less, not as mu ch as, but MORE expensive than planes.
I keep myself motivated by running this https://lowtrip.fr/ and keeping a lifelong count of the CO2 I’ve contributed to.

It doesn’t have to be Valve, it doesn’t have to be the Valve you are thinking of, it doesn’t have to be Gaben.
Imagine, for a brief dystopic moment, “Disney-Activision-Nestlé”, if you will.
HL3 will come eventually, is too big an easy cash grab for the machine not to capitalyze on it.
It will be shit though.
That’s also a process that falls entirely under “common sense”. No need for “SMART” to have a chat with your Junior and agree on what can be done to meet his desired outcome.
