Used Arch for over 5 years. I don’t know if having a child changed me but I realised I’d lost a lot of time I had that I spent just fiddling with configs to get stufftpo my liking so went from Arch xmonad to PopOs and Gnome.
It has been stable and doesn’t have the snap bullshit that comes with Ubuntu.
I agree, I do not care about drama at all. People aren’t perfect and that’s fine with me.

That’s pretty rude. I’m all for critism where it is due but seems like in any article about China rather than discussing the article we use the article to prove our preconceived notion is truth.
Same as I don’t automatically believe any article I read about UK/US/Europe.
People have a complete right to complain about privacy and make their own choices with what they find acceptable. All of those examples you listed are where people are making a concious choice. Apps sneaking in data collection is not acceptable, people are most likely to already trust the app when the rug is pulled from under them.
