Now that’s a great looking car. Could never afford it, but it’s great nonetheless.

I’ll give that a shot, thanks!
Thanks for the detailed reply.
So the command gives me an error that nfs-client cannot be found.
The fstab just has basic default config. No timeout set.
I considered network issues, though it seems to be quite stable for other services. Not ruling it out just yet. I have a new switch coming in the next week, so will test if the issue persists when I put that in.
I will also give autofs a shot.
Thanks!
Haha don’t cut it up just yet! I’ll try some of the other options suggested here, as I’d like to learn what the issue is. The worst case I’ll try smb.
Thank you, will try this when I have time later this week.
They are mounted via the gui, but it just puts the mount into fstab. I checked the config there and it is just the standard default options for an nfs mount.
Edit: and no, I don’t lose it on reboot. Reboot re-mounts the share correctly.
Through the Cockpit gui, which just puts it into fstab. I checked the fstab config and it just has the basic default settings.
Doesn’t seem like it as far as I can tell.
Or just order water? It’s free for you, but costs the company money, while not making it difficult for the employees. Doing what you suggested is all around shitty for the workers who are just trying to get through their day and earn a wage, as well as the people in line wanting a drink. The company will not be affected in any way with your suggestion.
I’ve been boycotting the company for years now, even the items you can get in grocery stores (since at least some of them are made by Nestle, so double boycott points). Anytime anyone suggests we grab starbucks, I offer an alternative and we end up trying a local coffee shop or other non-terrible franchise.
Similar situation here. Lots of ghosting, or unmatching the day of a scheduled date. Had two dates in the last few months of using the apps. First woman was about 15 years older than her pics. Not unattractive by any means, but felt lied to from the get go. The other, let’s just say she had some work done after most recent pics, and the surgeon shouldn’t be practicing.
Cool idea!
I was going to mention a few games to check out but they were all already mentioned, so I will suggest the one that wasn’t brought up, Star Crusader. Space combat game with a great story, fun game play, high replay value, and great voice acting for a game from 1994. And the ending blew my mind, still remember the moment and my shock to this day. I have my original CD and the jacket in a memorabilia box haha, one of only a handful of things I kept from those days.
Good find! They also have multiple shirt, sweatshirts and a mug.

Ngl I love the smell of a freshly opened package of PLA.
I’m not quite sure what I’m looking at, but I’m fascinated by the lines and composition. Really cool work!
Yeah, this is not new and not shrinkflation… here in Canada the 440ml has been around for over 20 years in multi-packs, and the 500ml is available as individual cans.
While I agree with the general sentiment, these are both standard sizes for Guinness and the 440ml 4 packs and 8 packs have been around for well over 20 years. Here in Canada, the 440ml are available in the multi packs while the 500ml are sold as individual cans. I’ve seen the same in the states. I think OP just saw the smaller volume can next to the slightly bigger one and jumped on the shrinkflation hate train without checking.
Not sure about chromecast, but for AirPlay you don’t need internet connection. It’s probably the same for both, but I use an AppleTV and used a Xiaomi Mibox 3 before that, and would just cast to those if I need.
Well that’s just it, mostly unnecessary if you’re using it as essentially a monitor (like both of us are doing). Most of the updates would have to do with their smartcast OS or additional features or apps. The updates could also have additional support for devices as new hardware comes out, bug fixes (or additional bugs), speed improvements, etc.
They could definitely implement hardware that automatically connects to wifi without your permission. I guess a solution to that would be to connect to your own internet at home, maybe on a separate subnet that is blocked from accessing the internet.
I have a Vizio as well. It’s been disconnected from the internet for at least 2 years now and functions fine. I guess I miss out on updates, and if I press the Vizio “home” button it freezes up as it’s trying to connect for 20-30 secs before I can do anything, but works fine with an external Android or Apple box. You obviously won’t be able to use any of their apps if you disconnect from the internet, but it’s 100% worth it.
Sure could. Unfortunately, those trains don’t run between my home and work, or grocery store, or doctor and hospital, or movie, or the mountains for skiing/camping, or any other amenities where I live. I wish I had great public transit options like in Europe, but I don’t.
