is this common for xkcd? because then I’ve been missing a whole layer of all the comics I’ve stumbled upon.

Thanks for the nuanced response. Obviously both FP and LTT are defending their own interests and neither are inherently better.
Interesting are all the points you share. I’ve never been so convinced to try a game even after being explicitly told it’ll not be fun. Give me that sweet pain.
The UI is what I dislike most, but Itàlia not awful. I’m guessing that lossless music has better quality? Deezer offered something similar and I didn’t get what was the pro. I don’t think my ear is trained enough to notice a difference (until I listen them both b2b, maybe then I will).
thanks, bot. i wouldn’t know otherwise that this post on c/selfhosted is about #selfhosted
I’ll forever be skeptical of a degoogled OS that runs only on phones engineered by Google.
Sounds just like Futurama’s Popplers.
Homer Simpson wrote The Odyssey. I didn’t know about any other Homer 🤷♂️
The learning curve wasn’t as steep as I initially thought. For my basic transactions, that is; I haven’t figured out how to deal with stocks though.
Totally agree with the customization. I only toyed around with the options given, but didn’t know you could change them programatically! Is it a language solely for GnuCash?
Started with a good ol’ spreadsheet, but I didn’t have a consistent enough system to have an actual understanding of my transaction patterns.
The one you use, do you track spending in a double-entry system or writing down general balances?
Hadn’t heard this name! What made it a better fit for you?
I’m unsure how the interface has changed in recent years. What’d be some more decent visuals you’d like to see?
By the way, what drove you to Moneydance, any feature you’d highlight?
Her acting skills on the series were amazing! She was my main reason to start She-Hulk, but meh.
Not sure if it depends on the region, but AFAIK Orphan Black it’s a Netflix original and it’s not on their platform anymore. I found out because of a mexican series, Triada which is way to similar to focus on the bits that make this story original.
Does this mean you don’t agree? I’m confused.
Correction: The service I referred to was renamed to Ober One.
Kinda. Basically you pay for occasional coupons and credits on UberEats, and a (5%) discount for every Uber ride.
For 70 MNX (~3.5 USD) a month there is no delivery fee on anything you order. It’s obvious their business model is to charge an obscene fee to then roll out a “better” option. But hey, it’s been convenient nonetheless.
I end up ordering from the same few places when I’m on my lowest, so their system usually gives me 100-200 MXN (~5-10 USD) discounts on those specific restaurants. The subtotal almost never exceeds 600 MXN (~30 USD).
Succinctly, it’s not free free. It’s a 5% discount on Uber rides, and a variable 15-30% discount for two orders a month.
This is a non-post, as it doesn’t even bring its own analysis to the table. What are the valid concerns against card payments? What is so great about cash?
The convenience of card payments heavily outweighs the (i assume privacy) concerns. So what if anyone knows I stuffed myself with an unhealthy amount of chips? I keep my cash for things that don’t accept other ways of payment, like bus fare and my drug dealer.
I see your point, though. It isn’t solely applicable to this issue; any discussion is mudded by disagreeing just for the sake of rejecting anything anyone with an opposing view on a distinct and unrelated subject.
I’ve never not had this issue while writing a comment since I first downloaded it, back to v0.0.35 around 2 months ago. Hopefully it’ll be addressed soon.
It’s quite frustrating, but I ended up being used to work around it (mainly tapping multiple times to the end of the comment). Feels like whacking an old TV to make it work.
Not subscription, but the first service I thought “wtf is this money-making model?” was Plants vs Zombies 2. The game wasn’t that good. And, oh, my most recent guilty pleasure is Monopoly Go; it’s entertainingly boring?
Apart from that, I’ve tried to keep subscriptions that I really like or use constantly:
Thanks! Tired of removing the tracking “?si=” parameter from YT links
ETA: Fun clip, nonetheless. “Smoothness over clarity”, huh.
