  • Hmm. Would be a workaround, but not really what I have and like with 1P.

    I currently have collected about 650 items in my 1P vault. Actually that are two vaults, as I share one with my wife.

    And notes itself aren’t structured, they are just free text. I like to have structured items with specified fields where I can enter my info.

    Also I have several login Items where I don’t just have a user, password, OTP, domain, note. What about if it is a service where the same account is used on different websites? I can save only one domain per password?

    The iOS features are so basic, I can’t imagine switching to them. Although 1P keeps to suck more, as 1P8 is only available via subscription and the 1P7 browser plugin isn’t working properly anymore. :/

    Not a good situation currently.












  • That’s why I switched sides. From programming myself to developing functions and writing requirements which someone else can implement into code. :)

    I could do some programming (did embedded C), but surely I wasn’t the very best in it. So now I’m the guy who defines what a small (but essential) part of SW has to do which will run in hopefully a few million cars in a couple of years. :) Much more fun (and money).




  • Actually, it’s not just another plug. The fact that the same Pins are used for AC and DC charging adds a little bit more complexity to the car. Either you need additional switches in the car to separate the Onboard AC-Charger from the charging port, or the AC-Charger must be designed to withstand an DC input on its AC-Input contacts. That probably won’t be the biggest problem when the DC-voltage is just around 400V, as the AC-voltage is not that far away.

    But if you switch to 800V Batteries (which most of the industry is doing), that probably could get more challenging, as the AC-charging-voltage won’t change.

    We‘ll see what the car industries solution will be.
