From the article:
Shogakukan is listing a series of novelizations for Doga Kobo’s original television anime series Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night (Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai), with the first novel covering episodes 1-4 launching on May 20. Writer Yūki Yaku (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki), the head writer and scriptwriter for the original anime, is also penning the novelization.
Interesting. Usually, I don’t read real-world novels apart from rare exceptions, but I really enjoy the anime so I might make an exception. On the other hand, the visuals and music are such a big part of why I enjoy the anime so much (after all it’s about a painter and a musician) so I don’t know if I would enjoy a novelization.
Yeah, I haven’t watched the show, but based on what I know, I am not sure how well that would translate to text. Speaking of translation, there wasn’t anything I found about a translated release, so who knows if we will ever see it anyway.
