I don’t really get the side couples in this series. First, there was the pair that hooked up, she said it was just a one time thing, and then was sad last chapter when he didn’t show up to her room. Then, this chapter, the pair started dating basically as a dare, and then proceed to have a painfully awkward date. Like, are we supposed to be invested in these other couples or not?

In any case, at least our main couple is in a good place again, so the confusion around these other couples aren’t that annoying.
