I had forgotten how far back the manga is compared to the anime at this point. Two things stood out to me about this chapter:
First, this panel cracked me up. The way this dude is drawn was hilarious to me:

This panel reminded me about the lightning magic that is used in the WN.
Back when I read through the WN, the arc where the lightning magic is used by the Goddess’s apostles(?) (I don’t remember the exact name anymore) is about as far as was translated. This was shortly after the Tsige war for independence iirc.
